HUGE congratulations to our awesome fix-it clinic volunteers, Duluth East Daredevils, for an outstanding performance at the FIRST Robotics regional competition. Not only did they make it to the final round (and nearly win) they took every major FIRST award.
The team took the Chairman’s Award for their community involvement and outreach in spreading a passion for science and technology. (Thank you!) Bonus: This award guarantees they’re going to the championship!
Anna Karas took one of only two Dean’s List awards for technical knowledge, leadership, and inspiration.
AND their coach, Tim Velner took the Woodie Flower’s Award for being an inspiration and great leader to the team.
So proud to be an East alum, I just wish we’d have had this when I was in school!
