Here at Duluth Technology Company, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be hosting fix-it clinics again in 2015, and there will be even more of them. We thought a monthly schedule for fix-it clinics would be perfect for helping people remember to drop by.
Fix-it clinics will be held every month on the THIRD SATURDAY of the month, beginning in February.
What’s a fix-it clinic again?
A fix-it clinic is a community event where you can bring your broken household items to be repaired. Handy volunteers will help you diagnose your problem and help you fix it that day. If parts are needed, they’ll help point you in the right direction.
One of our goals in hosting the fix-it clinics is to save items from going to the landfill if they don’t have to. Another goal is to encourage people to learn how to fix their things and encourage a culture of repairing and recycling in our community.
How does it work?
When you come to the fix-it clinic, you’ll check in at our front table, and our check-in person will help match you with a volunteer who can help fix your item. You’ll stay with your item from start to finish and learn something about how it works along the way.
