Congratulations Duluth East Daredevils!

HUGE congratulations to our awesome fix-it clinic volunteers, Duluth East Daredevils, for an outstanding performance at the FIRST Robotics regional competition. Not only did they make it to the final round (and nearly win) they took every major FIRST award. The team took the Chairman’s Award for their community involvement and outreach in spreading a passion for science and technology. (Thank you!) Etsy Workshop: Learn how to sell your handmade crafts on Etsy!

Etsy Workshop: Learn how to sell your handmade crafts on Etsy!

When: Saturday, Nov 15, 10am-3pm Where: Duluth Technology Company, 12 E Superior Street, Suite 6, Duluth, MN How much: $50 What: I am excited to offer the Etsy Workshop for artists, crafters, and makers who want to sell their goods online using Etsy. I have five years of experience selling on Etsy, and have tried my hand at selling handmade jewelry, handknit accessories, and crafting supplies. Starting an Etsy shop can be daunting when you’re starting from scratch, and I’d like to help more people get going. Why sell on Etsy? Maybe you already sell at craft shows and you want to reach a wider audience. Or maybe you’ve always wanted to sell your handcrafted items, but want to start small to try it out. Etsy offers a great online storefront at a low cost, with a built-in audience who are already on the site searching for quality handmade goods. Selling on Etsy is a fun way to subsidize your hobby or grow a small business doing what you love. Workshop In this workshop, I’ll walk you through opening an Etsy account, setting up your shop, and listing an item. We’ll also cover general knowledge that you need to operate your Etsy shop once you’ve got it set up. Here’s a list of topics we’ll cover: Opening your shop Shop description & welcome message Creating Categories Creating shop policies Getting or making a shop banner Writing your seller profile Listing Items Writing a good item description Optimizing item listings for search engines Taking good photos with the camera you have Cross promoting your items in your own listings Shipping...

Not normally my style but the iPhone 6’s speakerphone mic did exceptionally well. *famous*...
